Dog Treadmill Conditioning

Not every dog gets what they need from a walk around the block. Some dogs are built to work and never get the chance. Some are carrying weight their joints cannot afford. Some come home from a 45 minute walk and still pace the house at 9pm.

Treadmill conditioning gives your dog controlled, measured exercise that a leash walk cannot match. We set the pace, we set the incline, we watch the gait, and we stop before your dog is overworked. No traffic, no distractions, no weather, no pulling. Just steady, honest work.

Who Is Steady Stride For?

How it works

Every dog starts with a 45 minute introduction session, and you attend it with us. This is not optional, and there is a reason for it.

We use that time to introduce your dog to the equipment at their pace, watch how they move, check their comfort and their gait, and show you what we are watching for. You will leave knowing whether your dog is a good fit, and we will tell you honestly if they are not.

Some dogs step on and go. Some need three or four short exposures before they are comfortable. We do not force a dog onto a treadmill.

Packages expire 6 months from purchase. Conditioning only works when the sessions are consistent, so we would rather you use them than bank them.

Before You Book

We need your dog current on vaccinations and comfortable being handled by someone who is not you. If your dog has a joint condition, a heart condition, is recovering from surgery, or is on activity restriction from a veterinarian, we need written clearance from your vet before the first session.
